Thanks for all that you do! I appreciated that Andre shared his story today during Collaboration, and the thoughtful sharing that occurred around that discussion. Every week, every day, I see you all taking the extra steps necessary to make connections with students, build relationships, and hold clear, high expectations but speak to students in a respectful friendly way. This really is probably the best school in the world. :)
Two years ago (or maybe it was early last year), the Penguin Parent Club set aside $8,000 specifically for field trips. I don't know how much of that money still remains, but I do believe it is a goodly chunk of money, so if you are looking for help with funding a field trip, the PPC is a great "go-to" group. The next Penguin Parent Club meeting is Thursday, February 7th at 6:30 pm if you are interested in attending to offer ideas to them about your needs. Also, you can email the PPC at PenguinParentsClub@newtechhigh.org with any questions or special requests. Rebekah Williams will be speaking at a mandatory staff meeting within the next several weeks, also, to further reach out and open lines of communication with you.
