Are You Pickled ? ~

Sometimes we need to step out of the pickle jar and see with fresh eyes...

I wanted to follow up with you regarding the "All Staff Learning Walk" that I shared with you at a Friday Collaboration last month. Some of you expressed a desire to have more choices than just watching each other, so with Peter's help with have arranged what I feel certain will be a very meaningful day on Wednesday, May 15th.

As you know, Learning Walks (stepping into model classrooms to see best practice with PBL) have been occurring district-wide for the past two years. Last year, it was an option made available to just Principals, but this year, Principals were encouraged to bring along interested staff members. Lacey joined me early in the year for a Learning Walk at American Canyon. The experience has been fascinating, and participants learned a lot through the process, so we wanted to replicate that experience for all of you.

One May 15th, each of you will teach one of your regular morning blocks, and you will also get to observe someone else's classroom for the other morning block. You may choose to observe classes here at New Tech, or you may visit one of the other New Tech district schools (American Canyon Middle School or Napa Junction Elementary School). We will all debrief together from 1:00-3:00. Please sign up for your preferred classroom to observe on this google form (click on the drop down arrows in yellow and select one).
