For those of you new to us this year, I want to share with you the 2013-14 budget information which went out last year. New Tech, through its non-profit foundation, has historically received substantial grants to enhance its innovative and high tech educational program. Last year concluded a grant, and at this time, the new foundation (Friends of New Tech or FONT) is looking to raise $376,000 this year in order to maintain its status quo. If FONT does not achieve its lofty goal, New Tech will be fine, but we won't have some of the amenitites that we have grown accustomed to. Here is our current budget, which outlines the deficient areas. Michelle would be happy to elaborate on the details if you have any questions. This is just an FYI to keep you informed about our goals, and why "Family Giving" and other fundraisers are so important to us!
