Rubric Discussion - Make sure to contribute to the rubric discussion that we rolled out at our last Friday morning. We will be using your comments to roll out a process for taking on this work.
Inbox Zero - For those of you who get a lot of email, here's a cool video of a Google Tech Talk on how to manage your inbox and keep it from taking over. It's about an hour long, but you can just play it in the background and listen while you work on something else.
Common Core Standards - Michelle and Peter went to a common core training at the district office. Here are some notes from the training compiled by a few different participants. The big take away is that we're already doing a lot of what the common core standards ask us to do so the transition should be pretty easy. It also sounds like the performance based/compter administered assessment might be something New Tech students have an advantage on. Details of the assessment are still being fleshed out.
