There were some really great presentations happening this week around campus! There was a wonderful presentation in Political Studies where students were presenting the music that they thought would go best with One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Kudos to Nancy and Andre! Tom W. had presentations in his singleton biology class about the red legged frogs and he and Christie had biofitness presentations about the oak trees in the Napa Valley. Great job! Don't forget that your advocates are free to release you to check out other classes during their prep periods. Just let us know!
Tech Tip of the Week: Have you seen the new "appointment slots" option in Google Calendar? Click and drag a time block in your calendar and click on "appointment slots" to get yourself started. You can break up a block of time into shorter appointments (for example every half hour from 10am to noon) and allow others to sign up by clicking on a link that Google Calendar provides. It's a great way to go if you want to block off time to meet with students and have the students schedule themselves! When someone picks a time slot, it automatically adds it to their calendar and updates yours. Check in with Peter if you want to be walked through it.
Featured NTN Resource: Be sure to include at least one major literacy task in each project that you do! This quick guide will get you going. FYI - Christie is our literacy facilitator. Don't forget that the NTN Resource Library is great place for resources and links to help support you.
NTN is rolling out a series of eLearning opportunities. The next one is on Tuesday, September 27th. It should show up under your events in Echo along with instructions on how to attend and how submit need to know's before attending. Check it out!
