Thank you everyone for responding to the survey regarding last year’s Tech Lends a Hand. Based on your feedback The TLH Adjunct is proposing the following:
1) Advisory Classes develop a service activity to be performed off campus the last week of school (exact date to be announced). Advisories have the option to expand the service project beyond a single day if they choose.
2) The day after TLH, Students will spend a ½ day creating a reflective piece (video, presentation, performance, something original) to present in a school-wide assembly that afternoon. All students will participate in the presentation.
3) Students and Staff will have an extended lunch period prior to the final assembly. This may be a potluck or some other communal lunch similar to the Holiday Luncheon.
4) Any Advisory needing help choosing a service activity can consult the TLH Briefcase which will have additional ideas added to it sometime VERY SOON.
5) The TWO-DAY TLH Event will NOT include watching movies for fun. The creation and practice of the Reflective Presentations should fill the morning (3 hours). If there is a concern that it won’t, the TLH Adjunct Committee (KP & TW) will develop a list of appropriate options.
