Hello from "Chim Chim Hamster Chunks"~ I fell in love with a PLC because that's how I roll!
The Rotary Club is looking for a New Tech staff member to be the Interact Club Advisor. Here is a direct request from Dorothy Salmon (also a Napa Learns member): We would like one teacher who would represent your school and students with the noon Rotary Club in creating (re-establishing) an Interact Club at Napa New Tech. It's REALLY important. My Rotary Club raised the first money for your school when nobody else believed in it, our members have been staunch supporters for 16 years, and Auty Hayne is an amazing educator who is dedicated to making this Interact Service Club the best in the city at your school... Help...
If you have any interest or questions, please check in with me asap! Thanks!
You have survived week three. The master schedule is essentially locked-in. Any further changes will be run by you first following our "add / drop card" model. Lupe will be examining transcripts and courses for all students and may discover a couple of gaps that need adjusting, but for all practical purposes, your classes are at the place they shall remain. Thanks for your patience, and for all the discussion and reflection you have brought to the table.
I think that the CST numbers are in from the state. I haven't studied them yet, but we will soon have some data to examine in our PLCs (once we start them). Please let me know if you don't yet have the DuFour text (I believe Kinnereth is the only one). Read Chapters 2 & 8 before the next Mandatory staff meeting.
Most importantly, please set aside your work for a little while over this holiday weekend, and enjoy time with your loved ones. Thank you for all that you do. Peace, ~ Michelle
