On Monday October 1st New Tech is honored to be hosting a visit from approximately 100 school district Superintendents from across the country who are members of the "League of Innovative Schools." This is a giant opportunity for us to show off our exceptional program, and to share our Center of Excellence opportunities to potential clients. The press is being invited, and this event is being coordinated by the New Tech Network.
Our visitors will be given classroom observation time, and we are being very conscientious about splitting the group up so that it doesn't overwhelm our small school. I will share more details with you soon, but I would like you to be aware of this date and time: Monday, October 1st, 3rd block. As you are creating lesson plans for your third block (which for most of you is a "singleton" class), please try to do what you can to create an opportunity to show off your best practice with one phase of project-based learning. Our hope is that our visitors will get to see some student presentations, some collaborative work, a project launch or entry event, etc.
As the date approaches, Peter or Michelle will send out a google form survey of what type of activity you have planned so that we can break the visitors into smaller groups.
