Time to Collect Back Our Materials

Staff,
In these lean budget times, it is absolutely essential that we make an organized and thorough effort to collect back every single textbook and instructional material that we checked out to our students. Please be sure to dedicate time to this process; our expectation is that you will be able to retrieve 100% of our materials back!

Along those lines, I wanted to let you know that Shaun Keeler and Melanie Curren (Pam's Sub) will be initiating a process to collect back student Netbooks.

  • Seniors: Monday May 21st. Melanie and Shaun will sit outside of the Political Studies room. At teachers' convenience, students with Netbooks will be asked to step into the Cybercafe and turn in their Netbooks and power cords.
  • Melanie will begin billing Seniors for missing or damaged Netbooks on Wednesday May 23rd. Seniors must clear this before graduation!
  • Juniors: The process will repeat for Juniors beginning on or around Wednesday May 23rd. It will only take a couple of minutes for students to step outside one or two at a time and turn in their Netbooks. Please let Melanie know if Wednesday May 23rd is an okay date; we can arrange to collect Junior Netbooks on the 23rd, the 24th or the 25th, based on teacher convenience.
  • Sophomores & Freshmen: We'll begin collecting back Sophomore and Freshman netbooks the week of May 28th, so that Shaun has time to check that they are in working order and Melanie can produce bills.
Obviously, once we've taken back a student's netbook, that student will need to rely on classroom PCs to complete their school work. By pushing the collection date back as far as possible, we are hoping to minimize disruption to completing schoolwork, but its still something that the students will need to have on their radar.
