To All New Tech Staff:
The purpose of this notice is to inform you of a decision made at our Parent Club meeting held April 12th. As I am sure many of you are aware, New Technology High is in a budget crunch and needs approximately $16,000.00 in order to pay all final bills due by the end of this school term.
The Family Giving program participation this year has been approximately 25% of our Parents. We have moved forward with a final push for Family Giving Dollars. However, the reality is that we have two months left to collect.
The decision by the Parent Club, approved at the meeting held April 12th, is to hold back $10,000.00 in order that New Tech can pay all outstanding bills, should the Family Giving Final Push come up short. This will enable us to begin the school term 2012/2013 with a clean slate.
Unfortunately, if our funds are to be used to pay outstanding bills this will not allow us to disburse the Teacher Funds at the beginning of the next school term as we have done in the past. This issue will be reviewed again, once we can finalize the Family Giving Funds. We will let you know if anything changes. Our hope is to continue with our past practice of giving those funds to Staff so that everyone benefits, but at this time I hope that you can understand the necessity of this situation.
